January Limited Edition 2011 Releases

Impart your personal artistic touch on this year’s five Selection Limited Edition varieties. Each year Winexpert produces only a limited quantity of five fabulous and unique varieties from around the world from January through April. These very special wines are only available during their month of release and are so immensely popular that they can be acquired by pre-order only.

South African Sauvignon Blanc-Semillon

Sauvignon Blanc has wild, herbaceous flavours and tart, grapefruit-like character, which shows strongly in the young wine, while Semillon has flavours of honeydew melon and sweet honey that take a bit longer to come out. Together the two grapes make a lush, balanced wine with great up-front fruit and a satisfying , rich finish.

Washington Meritage

A blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Petite Verdot, this wine features great extract, deep colour and intense aromatics of dark berry fruit, cassis, peppery spice, cedar and smoke. The seductive nose of this wine foreshadows magnificent texture and flavour, including dark berries, liquorice, vanilla and warm brown spices that glide across the palate.

Last Call!

Just a friendly reminder to reserve your Chocolate Raspberry Port, Blackberry Port, Okanagan Peach Ice Wine and/or French Gamay Nouveau this week.  We need to have our request in to Winexpert by the end of this week.  If you’re thinking of trying any or all of these special products, let us know as soon as possible.  Quantities are limited, and if you don’t reserve we can’t guarantee you’ll receive one.

We will call as soon as the kits arrive in the store – early September.  You don’t pay for them until you start the wines.

Katherine made the Chocolate Raspberry Port and used it as Christmas gifts – a bottle and dark chocolate cups for sipping, in a pretty foil bag tied up with ribbon and a candy cane.  It was the hit of the season!

A reminder about Chocolate Raspberry Port!

A quick reminder!  Reservations for Chocolate Raspberry Port, Blackberry Port, Okanagan Icewine and Gamay Nouveau need to be received by Wine Central by Wednesday August 3rd.  When the kits arrive in the store we’ll give you call to come in, start the wines and pay for them.  Please reserve as soon as possible – last year we have several disappointed customers – and we don’t want that to happen again!
