Happy Canada Day!

Everyone at Wine Central wishes you a Happy Canada Day!  We will close for the day – Rod will enjoy a BBQ with family and friends to celebrate his birthday, Maria is looking forward to the fireworks, Sara will enjoy time with friends, Brittney is visiting friends in Vancouver, and Katherine will celebrate with her neighbours.  We hope you enjoy the day as well!

Wine Central will be open Saturday, July 2 from 9:00 am until 4:00 pm.  See you then!

Happenings at Wine Central

Brittney is graduating from UBCO on June 10, with a B.A. (Major in History and Minor in Psychology). She has just been accepted to Thompson River University to complete a degree in Education. Please wish her well while you’re in the store this summer – Brittney will not be working with us after the end of August. Way to go, Brittney – we’re all proud of you!

Sara is playing competitive softball, and is playing in a fun league as well. She’s also joining Katherine on Wednesday evenings for Kelowna Springs Business Ladies League. It’s all about the sports with Sara – have we ever mentioned she is somewhat competitive? Go for it, Sara!

Maria is happy to be back at work, and we’re happy to have her. Maria’s husband Peter is now developing and installing mist systems for patios, restaurants, and more – ask Maria for details. Her son is working at The Harvest Dining Room, and her daughter will be starting out at the new zipline.

Rod is recovering from the visit from his Grandson – who he said is a whirlwind of activity and a blur of motion. Phase 1 of his grape arbour is complete, with phase 2 to start soon. He’s really looking forward to spending time in his garden this summer.

Katherine is mother of the bride… and excited! She was just in Edmonton to see the wedding dress, check out the venues and address the invitations. Other than that, she is trying to sneak out to the golf course now and again.
