Winexpert, our kit supplier, has announced a small price increase on all kits. They have held their prices for just over three years, and have made the increase as small as possible. We’re sorry, but the kits will increase slightly in price to refl ect these costs. The good news is we are not raising our Vin On Premises fee – it’s the same price it has been for the last 6 years.

Spring Is Sprung
It seems as though spring and summer have taken an awfully long time to get here this year. All of us at Wine Central are completely ready to celebrate our beautiful Okanagan summer with some great new products.
Our bold additions to Selection International wines are made with Crushed Grape Skins.
Italian Amarone with Grape Skins
Italy’s most powerful wine, Amarone is renowned as fruity, full-bodied with rich intensity from the dried grape skins included in the fermentation. This is an intense, complex wine, with a wide array of flavours and aromas. Deep, nearly opaque red, this exudes aromas of sour cherries, dark chocolate, dried fruits, tobacco, leather and molasses and has a spicy-earthy bittersweet finish that lingers. The gripping tannin in this wine makes it a natural for red meats and game, and the fruit lifts up well herbed or spiced dishes. While excellent with food, Amarone is often enjoyed on its own with good friends and conversation.
Oak: 2 (medium) Body: 4 (medium-full) Sweetness: 0 (dry) Alcohol by volume: 13.5 – 14%

Italian Brunello with Grape Skins
Italian Brunello with skins is a dark-cherry colour with highlights of gorgeous ruby-garnet. Bold, yet supple, the big, smoky-earthy nose of ultra-ripe cherry and currant-like fruit gives way to a hint of tar and cracked black pepper, cedar, whiffs of licorice, leather and plums and black cherries, followed by a richly tannic, long fi nish. The super concentrated flavours are generous even in youth, but this wine is sensational after six months to a year. Good acidity makes this a very food friendly wine.
Oak: 3 (heavy) Body: 4 (medium-full) Sweetness: 0 (dry) Alcohol by Volume: 13.0 – 13.5%

Something new and wonderful… French Rosé!
The last couple of years we have had Spanish Rosé as a summer treat. This year’s Rosé comes from France. It’s crisp and fruity, and promises to be every bit as enjoyable as its Spanish cousin. Reserve one before they’re gone.

Thank you to everyone for a successful Limited Edition Season!
We have sold out of most of the Limited Edition wines, but have managed to find 3 California Petite Sirah/Zinfandel and 6 Spanish Matador Trio Red. They are available on a first come, first served basis. They are great red wines, and are the collector’s items. Cheers!7
